Will JT be able to adapt? I hope so and he has showed a tendency to change depending on his personnel.....

Clearly, some luck is involved. Also, you have to have the voters on your side. Joe Paterno has NC's for 1982 and 1986, but he also had perfect seasons in 1968, 1969, 1973, and 1994 for which he was not awarded an NC. The period from 1968 to 1994 is 27 years, which far surpasses Bryant's reign of excellence (1961-1979).
