Lady Bucks fall to Hawai'i
CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. - Amanda Tauali?i hit a grand slam in the top of the fifth to lead Hawai'i over the No. 23 Ohio State softball team, 4-2, Saturday afternoon in the Cathedral City Classic. The Buckeyes, who had a six-game winning streak going into the game, fall to 10-2 on the season, while the Wahines improve to 3-10 overall.
Ohio State jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom half of the first after
Vanessa Spears started off the inning by reaching first on an error. She advanced on a bunt single by
Dee Dee Hillman, who finished the day with two hits, and scored on an RBI single by
Sam Marder. The Buckeyes stretched the lead to two off a
Tory Haddad single to right center that plated Marder.
