7 on 7s in Ohio...???

If this has been talked about before then I'm sorry.... But why has Ohio, for the most part, banned a 7 on 7 tournament for the state of Ohio.

It's my understanding that if an Ohio player takes part in any type of 7 on 7 tournament, then he would have to give up his following season on his Highschool team.

Is there any reason for this at all? It seems like 7 on 7s are going to be a pretty big key in recruiting in the near future. Every scout I have talked to seems to think that its become on of the best tools they have on grading talent due to the best of the best coming out. With Ohio being one of the top states in putting out elite D1 level talent, I can't see how this isn't happeing in the state of Ohio.
