If you gurus would be so kind, can I get a crash course in Buckeye football or links to good articles to begin to familiarize myself with the team? Also, what would be the best games from previous seasons to do film study on so I can learn the style and schemes of the team?
I already hate Michigan so I hope I'm off to a good start!

Actually, you're off to a GREAT Start! Nice post.
My best advice to you would be similar to telling a guy who's thinking of becoming a drunk to visiting a liquor store. First off, learn as much as you can about Coach Woody Hayes. Books like "The 100-Yard War" and "You Win With People" are classic reads. Google around for more articles and pieces about Coach Hayes and his humanitarianism in terms of his relationships with his players, as well as his "behind the scenes" acts. If you ever thought of Coach Hayes as some crazy-ass who punched an opposing player, you'll be shamed when you actually find out that he was the most caring and passionate figure that ever graced THE Ohio State University in any respect.
Also, check-out a copy of Jack Park's Encyclopedia. It's a must have for any Buckeye fan who's into the history of the program.
As far as past games and "film study" I'd kinda forget about that. And "schemes" change from year to year, so drop that one also. You'll pick up more useful info from the countless great posters "here" than you will anywhere else.
As you educate yourself about the program, it will start to make sense. There are just way too many huge games, great wins, devastating losses to mention. 34 years between our last 2 national Championships pretty much says it all. WE are the greatest fans of the Greatest football program in the country, now YOU are as well. Plus, you picked the best possible site on the internet to learn from as well.
Welcome aboard, Young Buck, and hope to see you here for quite awhile.
Peace.
