I belatedly nominate this post for Dip[censored] Post of the Year. GSU was the cream of I-AA that year and had horses that could've played in most I-A programs. They put up 70+ point twice, 60+ points two other times, and hung 41 on I-A Oregon State, at Corvallis. YSU hung tough the first quarter...in fact, IIRC YSU lead at the end of the first quarter and controlled the tempo. The flood gates opened in the second quarter when GSU started using their superior speed and RBs went outside and forced WR-on-LB mismistches on passes. Adrian N. Peterson running all over helpless DBs didn't help matters for YSU either. GSU could've went 3-5 or 4-4 in the Big Ten that year...seriously.
