Tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz (Johnsburg, Ill.) has 18 scholarship offers on the table. He hasn't received any new offers in the past couple of weeks, but he has made a change at the top of his list. Previously Ohio State and Iowa shared his top spot.
"Notre Dame, Iowa and Ohio State, those are my three favorites," Fiedorowicz said. "I would say Iowa is recruiting me the hardest right now. Then probably Notre Dame and Ohio State."
Irish assistant coach Rob Ianello stopped by Johnsburg High School on Monday. The previous Monday, coaches from Ohio State, Iowa, LSU, Wisconsin and Purdue stopped to check on Fiedorowicz.
The 6-foot-7, 240-pound football and basketball star caught 63 passes for 1,072 yards and 15 touchdowns during his sophomore season. He caught 49 passes for 809 yards and 11 touchdowns his junior season.
Fiedorowicz plans to take all five official visits. He said Notre Dame, Iowa and Ohio State will be three of his trips.
"I'll find two others," Fiedorowicz said.
