EDIT - the announcers just said the longest MLB game was in 1984, a 25-inning game with the White Sox, and that 'The Internet's a great thing".
Apparently they suck at the Internet. Per MLB - In 1920, there was a 1-1 tie in 26 innings between Brooklyn and the Boston Braves.
