In my opinion, the Wing T of high school is the triple option of college football...you have to play your assignments and play fundamentally sound. It can get frustrating because if you're out of position, it will show. In high school I hated playing Wing T's because they only do a couple things, but they usually do them really well (also because it's a boring night for a CB unless a jet sweep breaks loose
). It will be the same thing over and over with Navym but they will do it well. I see it being an ugly first half but after a half time adjustment, we shut it down and pull away for a 17 point win. We have a veteran DL and that is the difference maker imo. Also, I like the experience of the front 7 with Spitler and Homan at LB. Combine that with the athleticism of Moeller, Sabino and Rolle in case the option read goes outside, I like our odds.
It sounds like Navy may be weak on D though, so hopefully our offense will be ready to put up some points. I do think this is a great opener because we will have to be disciplined. It will be a completely different scheme with USC but the same idea in terms of being responsible. On a side note, it's a shame transfer students can't get tickets to this game
