I had several "miscommunications" with my academic advisers over my 4 years at OSU in the engineering college. One of these resulted in my having to take an extra Chemistry class. I had friends who constantly were told one thing by an adviser, and then it turned out that they had to take more classes. Throw in that this is an adviser from a satellite campus, and it really doesn't surprise me.
