I like the way they have it now... I would tweak it just a little bit. I would like to see the #4 team play the #1 team in a BCS bowl, and have the #2 and #3 teams play in a bowl. The winner of each game plays one more game after all the bowls are played.
This would add one game to the season. It would make the season very important (need to be #1-#4 on the BCS charts), and it would provide a mini-playoff. If you are the #5 team you shouldn't bicker, because the way it currently is if you are not 1 or 2, you're out (except this year
).
I don't think this would take away from the bowl games, and we would have a legit #1 when all is said and done.
