Another stupid baseball phrase is "The hit and run" for when the baserunner(s) start running before the batter hits the ball...it should be "The run and hit". One of the baseball announcers here who calls televised Hawaii games here calls it "run and hit", but it hasn't caught on anywhere else (that I know of).
