This morning on the ESPN news had (no not an April Fools) a report stating that there is movement to do exactly as you suggest.

Don't know what good it will do though. Frankly the best questions to ask are completely removed from the stoke the coals line most politicians will take. The best questions go to the following topics.
1 On the Prohibition side -- How did players in a league with what is on the paper the toughest testing policy for 'roids in pro sports, get around the test and how do we stop that from happening?
2 On the Science side -- How much do we really know about which drugs are being used, their medium term effects, their long-term effects? How much harm is this actually doing?
3 -- On the Comedy Channel side -- Will we ever see 350 lb linemen again?
