Unfortunately we are starting to see these "big name" skill players looking only at offenses that will put their name up in light on sportscenter. The "Team" concept is slowly fading away from college football and it is because of recruiting popularity. These kids are know being followed and called and pampered by so many media outlets that their heads swell to the size of the goodyear blimp.

I like what Mili said, Jenkins was the kind of player that these kids need to know about. He did have good numbers and set a few records, but he was by no means a household name when it came to recievers. Guess what, the pros found him anyway.

I hope to see some type of change in the "I wanna play for a school that is gonna <insert type of offense that will make them a star>". We need to start seeing kids say "I like the family atmosphere at <school> and they have a solid tradition of winning. I will make the offense better with my abilities." That may never happen but I can still hope.

Before anyone comes the defense of these kids, I am not asking that any athlete NOT want to be at a big name school because of the offense (i.e. USC). I am just saying I would like to see more of these kids lose the ME,ME,ME type of attitudes.
