I just noticed this thread and I agree with the outcome.
The 1998 Bucks were the best [censored]ing team in the country - spare me undefeated Tee Martin and Tennessee. The second half John Cooper play-not-to-lose brain fart and total team collapse against MSU really hurt, especially when the pollsters did their usual reward the team who lost in September schtick, and sent an undermanned Seminoles squad to play UT while we stomped the [censored] out of Texas A&M in New Orleans.
Not only were the Bucks better than FSU, I would've bet my paycheck on 'em versus the "national champions" from Tennessee. The only saving grace was I got to attend the Penn State and Michigan ass-kickings, live and in person, in the Shoe.
