I'd say Doss is right in the middle of the bell curve on playing career.
The original premise was that he "never really made it". I'd say your post definitely disproves that.

Those stats also seem like they would be good for negotiations with the NFLPA, but I'm not sure how removing all the players who never really made it (practice squad guys, UFL, CFL players etc) translates to this context. When you compare Doss to players who were roughly equal to him (made the team his rookie year) the fact he was roughly equal to them isn't really surprising.
