Terps, first, I have no problem with you saying you want to play the Bucks. As a fan, you want your team to be the best (at least I hope you do), and to be the best, you have to play and beat the best. If this matchup had occured in 2001, it may have been a good game. But if the game occurs anytime after, especially this year, I think
OSU wins without too much drama.
Second, the MD-Iowa comparison is not close, despite the comparable records. Iowa has been one of the best teams in the country over the past 3 years, while Maryland has been solid, but has not even won the ACC.
Finally, its not impossible for Maryland to become an elite team, at least for short times. Kansas State had one of the lowest winning percentages in football before the 90's. They may not compete year in and year out like other programs, but they will make some top 10 runs for a few years. And, as far as I know, Iowa has never been a consistant top-tier team, but they make their runs every few years also. However, if they can hold onto Ferentz that may change.
Next time you just may want to research more before you post.
