We need to get this kid if possible. He fills that "dead spot" b/w Mo Hall/Ross being seniors and Pittman/Haw as freshman.

LSU had 3 freshman RB's last season, one of whom, justin Vincent, had a big year. instead of batteling it out w/ them for 3 years, he wants a fresh start.
Yes he does have to redshirt, but after sitting out he would be a sophmore in 05 just like kennedy would have, although kennedy may have been a R-shirt possibility.

Not a bad recruit to have around, but I can't help but cringe a bit at the idea of OSU taking the kid that lost the battle for PT. This isn't UNLV.
Tough to argue you are the #1 RB recruit out of HS but not the number one recruit at LSU.
To be clear on the question above a transfer does not have to wait for a 'scholarship' - only to be eligible to play.

I thought the same thing. This is tOSU we shouldn't need anyones hand-me-downs especially at running back.

edwards is one of the best special teams players on the team
and a quality backup RB, as well as a leader with his
emotion. if he's leaving its fine we can understand why since
he is behind 2 better rb in the same class

he
was a huge problem. It was only a matter of time before he
got kicked off the team. If he does come back, he won't
make through the season, I guarantee it.

those are the quotes i found on an lsu board.. im not sure if we really want this guy.
