Diamond will give way to gridiron
Nice article on OSU's newest grayshirt kicker, John Barker, from the front page. I wish all our recruits viewed OSU like this guy. Thanks to Tim Fox. ![]() |

Sounds great...give Bob Todd a call too. You can't have too much pitching and he wouldn't count as a schollie

sounds like a good kid, who knows what will happen with our depth at the position in the future.

I think I'd rather take a chance on another kicker rather than banking on Pettrey to get the job done from day one. Too risky to bet on one freshman starting. That's what has me worried about our punting game.
I'll tell Coach Todd he may have another pitcher to work with. |

What an impressive story and nice to hear a recruit from another state talk about Ohio State University that way. I was surprised to hear the Tim Fox and Coach Tressel are good friends. That is surprising to me. I wonder how many ex-Ohio state players are doing good things like that for thier alma-mater. Way to go Tim. I hope he turns out to be a good find.

I think it's a good idea to have 3 scholorship K/P around. Right now we have Huston, Trapasso, and Nuge, and after they're gone we'd have Trapasso, Pettrey, and Barker(if indeed he's getting a scholie). Depth at that position is good. Can you imagine if we didn't bring in Nuge because we already had Huston(no knock on Josh).
