Looking over our commitment list, we are doing very well overall, and outstanding in several positions, (rankings are national standings at their position per Rivals100):
OFFENSE: QB - Bauserman, #20 RB - Pittman, #13; Haw, #24 TE - Hoobler, #3; Nicol, #4 (Wow!) WR - Morgan, #25; Williams, #27 (Davis, #3, if we get him) OL - Person, #12 (OG); Rehring, #27 (OT); Skinner, #42 (OG) DEFENSE: CB - Ginn, #1; Lane, #14; Underwood, #16 S - Welch, #15 LB - Freeman, #4 (ILB) DL - Barrow, #38 (DT); (Gholston, #10 (DE), if his commitment is true) The only three commitments we have who aren't nationally ranked (at least now, and by Rivals100) are Trapasso (K), Smith (LB), and Johnson (RB). It's amazing how much we cleaned up with two of the top four TEs and three of the top 16 CBs including the #1 CB. Rivals100 also has us at #6 overall so far. I'd say we're doing pretty damn well, dontcha think? |

Gohlston is confirmed!!!! Mitchum and Hart would make this class ultra sweet at this point.
Tressel and company are doing a magnificent job. ![]() |

Johnson might not be a national recruit, but with his speed, size, and pedigree (Pepper is his dad)... I'd say he will be a good FB for the bucks (if he has hands he could be a great one)...
The class is filling out well... time to sprint down the home streach.... |

Another great job locking down Ohio. If JT can continue to get the majority of the Ohio kids and continue to land a few top notch out of state recruits every year we'll be set year after year.
Ray Williams would also be in this class if his grades were in order but he'll be off to prep school and join us next year. I'm really excited about Haw and Pittman. This class looks good to me! ![]() |

This years class is shaping up to be a great one. It's great that we have good high school football in he state of Ohio and only need to go OOS for top players at need positions.

Cannot argue with that Ohio. Our biggest recruit last year was Will Smith coming back. If MC comes back he is our top recruit. I really don't think the kid can be figured out. He would be a hell of a card player as you really know nothing about him. As long as Coach Tressel and Geiger say he is okay, that is fine by me.
As far as the class, it is looking good. Give me Mitchum and Hart and the rest are icing on the cake, including Fred Davis. Fred would be tremendous, but the position isn't as much of a need as the OL. |

With Patterson and Barrow committing, it looks like we have approximately 5 spots left with some serious candidates vying to fill them.
Hall Zuttah Mitchum Hart Walker Harvey Davis It is going to be wild watching how Tress and company rounds this recruiting class out.... ![]() |

Hall seemed to be really impressed with his visit to Columbus. There have been several different articles where he mentioned how big the campus was and how much stuff there would be to do. He would be a nice addition to the class. I'd still like to see another DE in this class.
It's very important that we land 2 of 3 out of Hart, Zuttah, or Mitchum. We go 3 for 3 and I give this class an "A" no matter who else we land. It would be nice if Davis would decide soon so we could possibly go after Jarrett if necessary. He and Lyons would soften the blow of Fred going elsewhere. The whole Bryant, Johnson, Lyons package is intriguing. Pretty soon it might be very difficult to find a weakness on this team ![]() |

Good post, Nutty. Don't forget Rhyan Anderson, Willie Young, Javier Estopinan, and now apparently Dwayne Jarrett. It will be really interesting to see how this class finishes. Give me Mitchum, Hart or Zuttah, and a DE and I'll be happy, regardless of who gets the final few spots.
