Ginn MVP
I wanted them to just loop it up to him the whole game. But that's unrealistic. Very impressed with his hands. He only had one drop and he jumped about 8 feet in the air to catch it with his body, only he jumped a little too high for that, and bobbled it as he got slammed to the turf
Lyons had caught a nice deep ball, and Nicol looked pretty solid. Skinner and Mitchum had me worried there for a while as it looked like Henne could barely get a second to pass. I kind of felt like Ohio (ginn) cheated by blocking and attempting to block PATs. It seemed, at first, that blocking kicks was going to be out of bounds and I think that's what triggered the 3rd quarter animosity. Ginn seems like such a competitor and that he's going to get any edge that he can on the field. He really just runs right by people even when they have the angle. Its pretty unbelievable. |

OH MY GOD this game was great. the best part was when TG2 shut up the idiot drunk penn state fan sitting in front of me. he is the epiome of idiot penn state fans and all i've known growing up....so thats why i hate penn state fans so much.
after the game i went down on the field and took some pictures of erik haw, devon lyons, teddy ginn. i was standing next to somebody in street clothes when all of a sudden somebody comes up behind him and says "i know who you are, can i have an autograph?" sure enough it was jemario o'neal. i was standing right next to teddy and jemario. what a great experience. i think im going every year now. i thought mitchum looked like a beast on run plays. he would pancake somebody then run down field looking for somebody else to hit. he just looked hungry. i dont know of 1 OSU bound player that had a bad game. morelli was picking on sirjo a bit....but that was more of a nod in lyons favor....he played great. anybody know how brandon underwood is doing? he went down on the last defensive play of the game and took a while to get up. |

ill give it a try. they were taken with a disposable camera(havent ever had the need for a fancy digital camera but if i plan on going to more buckeye games and things like that i should look in to it). once i get them developed i will scan them and see how they look. then i will post. i only got 1 shot of actual game action, and it was the TD by Haw that was called back. happened right in front of me. it was great.....till they threw the flag.

I saw this over at BN. It's actually pretty comical.

the fight was HILARIOUS. the announcer started acting like he ran the big33 or something. "Pennsylvania players report to your benches. Ohio Players report to your benches. The Big 33 does not condone these actions..." haha. all the idiot penn state fans were going nuts saying it was all ohio's fault. one moron was going on and on about how the play shouldve been blown dead because you cant return a blocked PAT.
of course i had to let him know that in most of the REAL world (not the fantasy world psu fans live in where penn state is second only to GOD) blocked PATs can be returned for 2 points. |

Ginn is effing amazing. I really liked Haw. He didn't have a lot to work with on his carries, but he always managed to get at least a couple, even if he was hit behind the line. Mitchum looked good, and so did Nichol. Brandon Underwood quite possibly had the defensive play of the game, when he broke up that pass (same play he injured himself). Oh, and how do you forget Devon Lyons? He simply tore up. Great hands, great speed, great head on his shoulders. That's probably what impressed me most about Lyons AND Ginn, their heads. Ginn made several plays simply using his intelligence, and putting himself in a position to make a play - both offensively and defensively. He knocked away a pass right before halftime to save a Penn TD. All of our future Ohio State boys looked good.
