Let me be the first.
Let me be the first to say that the Marshall game will be unlike any OSU v. MAC games before. Why? Because Marshall represents a whole region much larger than any of the other MAC schools, and they will travel. From Marietta to Clarksburg, from Chillicothe to Paintsville, from Portsmouth to Charleston, the hills, hollows, and towns are full of Herd faithful. Don't doubt me on this one. Columbus is full of them too. They will be in Ohio Stadium in force. And we Buckeyes should not take The Herd lightly. They will be ready. We'd better be ready too.
Before you write them off as a bunch of hillbillies (as I know you will), remember what they did to K State last year. They are not scared of Ohio State. I'm thankful that Jim Tressel and Mark Snyder know all about Marshall, so even though most of us will fill up the chat boards with a bunch of prejudiced smack, the players and coaches will be busy getting ready for a legitimate opponent.

"remember what they did to K State last year."
As I've noted before, K-State didn't have Ell Roberson for that game. Also, Marshall didn't exactly hand K-State their ass like we did for three quarters. In fact, K-State had more first downs, and more total offense, but shot themselves in the foot with three turnovers while Marshall had none. I'm not saying that Marshall was lucky or didn't deserve the win, but they didn't exactly kick K-State's ass.

Watching the first half of Troy vs Marshall and if thats "the best Marshall team ever" then Brett's straight. Troy is giving them all they can handle and its not flukey stuff at all, they are whipping the Marshall OL.
Off the top of my head I think I have seen Marshall feature a true frosh at OG, RB and K not sure about defense because of all the suspensions but I am seeing nothing in this game that scares me about the Herd. Troy is their physical equal so far.
