I like CFBnews.com, but for them to still rank FSU and TSUN ahead of us shows that they're in denial about those teams. Did they factor in the Stanford 37, BYU 10 score into what it means to get beat by ND?
And FSu had no offense and no heart during clutch time.

tisk tisk, shame on you all. This is tressel, this is justin zwick, this is mike nugent, simon frasier, aj hawk, bobby carpenter, quinn pittcock, and D'animal. This is santonio holmes and Roy Hall and Bam childress and Ted Ginn... We are playing a team that was GOOD as in NOT great last year but they just lost the best player the school has EVER HAD.. sure its on the road.. sure they have chuck amato, tremain hall, richard washington and derrik morris oh yea and TA mclendon... so what? WE ARE OHIO STATE! WE ARE THE BUCKEYES!
So we got a big head against marshall.. We still WON.. they havent even played a division one school yet.. I am NOT scared of this QB.. Both teams we have played so far had veteran senior QBs who could pick on our inexperience. I fully expect Ashton and EJ to be far more than adequate at covering these recievers now that they dont have a marksman like rivers throwing to them.. So that just leaves the running game which should be fine as well since we that will be what we key on this week.
Zwick is only going to keep getting better, Joe will be back and i expect that to make a HUGE difference in the running game. Plus, Pittman should be healthy and ready for some reps in this game as well. We will be fine. and I dont believe this game will be as close as last years or even last weeks game.
In Tressel we trust.

Check out the blog for my prediction. I only picked that score because I am a homer, or it would go the other way. NC State is going to give us all we can handle and then some.

Scary game. Weather will keep the score low.
They will get their two solid drives--score once. We will control time of possession, but have trouble scoring.
Nuge is huge!!
Bucks--10
NCSU--7

It's going to be a tuff, close, hard fought game. We really need to win the turnover and field position battle. I am optimistic that because they have a relatively young, inexperienced QB, that we will get one or two interceptions. Hopefully it will be inside the NCst 50 yd. line and we can play on a short field or maybe even take it to the end zone.
If our Defense or Special Teams can score a TD, that will go a long way in a close, hard fought game and definitely pump up the boys in scarlet & gray.
We also need someone to step up this week, like Holmes did last week, and be a big difference maker on Offense. You got to know that they will be double teaming Holmes every step along the way, and so R.Hall, Bam, Ginn or even Ross or Pittman need to become a big playmaker.
GO BUCKS!

Apparently McLendon's leg didn't have to be removed after all:

What a shocker. lol
In weather-related news, the Cal-Southern Miss game (Thrusday night) has been postponed.
