Take this for what it's worth but a poster over at BN, who helps out StudentSports on occasion, threw out this name today as a guy with high interest in our beloved Buckeyes. Bell grew up an Ohio State fan and has received a number of written letters from the coaching staff.



RB Kahlil Bell (Marin Catholic, Kentfield) 5-11, 190, Jr.



Piled up 1,627 yards and scored 17 TDs for Montgomery of Santa Rosa as a sophomore. One of the top junior RBs in the state.

As a junior he racked up 1700 yards and score 24 TDs for Marin Catholic (Kentfield, CA). He was voted to the all-state underclassmen team.

Bell claims he has a time of 4.5 in the forty and 3.9 shuttle time.

Be on the lookout for a Rivals update on him in the near future.

If wstripes is the poster I'd lean towards believing him. I think he was about 100% accurate last year predicting where kids were gonna end up. It seems like he knows his stuff.

That's who it is Bucknutty and agree with you. He was dead on with his predictions and info regarding recruiting.

all the schools he listed were out of state schools...ND was #2......When kids are asked to go to the Nike camps they are asked to fill out a form....so I had the form....I help out with Student sports a little...there will be an article on him on rivals today or tomorrow..or at least there should...His numbers were legit....I have noticed that quite a few cali kids had OSU in there top 5. and in our data base it says Bell is a High level prospect...just thought I'd thow it out there see if you guys had heard anything

I've acually talk to him personally and he was a Michigan lean, but now with Grady giving Michigan a verbal, KB is looking elsewhere. He has great quickness but i think his 40 time was a little off... he used to come by my school a lot, and he came to my weights class and him and my school RB, Kevin Penney, raced and KP has him beat by a good couple of feet. Kevin usually runs around a 4.65 on the black top. so i dont know how that would translate to a track or grass but i dont think Kahlil runs a 4.5
