He has a motor that doesn't quit. I will be seeing him again on Wed when his team scrimmages Georgetown Prep.

Wallace on McCoy
Quote:
Ol' Blue vs the Bucks
Big-Time Stadium Capacity
By Allen Wallace
National Recruiting Editor
"I like the tradition of Ohio State and they've got a pretty decent depth chart…they're a real nice program and they treat their athletes well," says Rico McCoy (6-1, 212, 4.55), from St. John's College in Baltimore, Md. "They also say they're changing their defense and filling it out with faster guys that aren't as big as usual..."
Maryland LB Rico McCoy from Baltimore says that Ohio State and Michigan lead slightly over Syracuse, Miami and Pittsburgh. All have offered.
"I like the tradition of Ohio State and they've got a pretty decent depth chart…they're a real nice program and they treat their athletes well," says McCoy, from St. John's College. "They also say they're changing their defense and filling it out with faster guys that aren't as big as usual.
"They've got a nice LB core. I like coaches (Luke) Fickell (LBs) and (Mark) Snyder(def coord). They came to see me practice at the end of last (school) year.
"I've been to Michigan and I think they've got the best facilities from what I've seen. They have 125 years of football tradition and it's honestly some big-time football. Coach (Erik) Campbell (asst HC/WRs) has sent me a lot of handwritten letters. And I wouldn't say I mind the location…in fact I think if I were to go to Michigan or Ohio State that it would be a cool change coming from D.C. because it's a tad bit slower paced over there.
"I'd consider Syracuse because it would be nice to establish a good relationship with coach (Paul) Pasqualone. It's a nice environment over there and a lot of guys from the area around here go there and that's a plus. Also my brother (redshirt frosh SS Reggie McCoy) goes there and it would be nice playing with him.
"Miami has good LB tradition. Guys like Ray Lewis and Dan Morgan played football there. It's a nice place too…they're winners and I'm a winner. And they may not have the biggest LBs but they can move and make plays…I think I'd fit in well and I like to hit.
"When I think of Pittsburgh, I think of the fans over there and Steeler football. I went there for a spring game last year and got a good vibe--the players are good and the people are nice. I also like coach (Walt) Harris and that they think they can run the Big East now since Miami and Virginia Tech are gone.
"But I really like the thought of the Big 10 atmosphere that Ohio State and Michigan have…ah, all that stadium capacity."
Rico will begin taking his official visits to these schools in late Nov.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I swear I've read that even people up at scUM know their facilities aren't up to par with ours. McCoy's comments lead me to believe he has yet to visit Columbus yet. Hopefully when he does it will push us into the lead.

According to Gary Housteau's in-depth article of July 27th, McCoy hadn't been to Ohio State, or even met Coach Tressel. Once he meets JT and sees the campus, the Bucks' chances should improve.

In fact didnt Scum send people down to check out OSU's facilities a few years ago to see what they needed to do to upgrade thiers?
