Rivals premium
Dominic Jones now says he is de-committed from Pitt and will commit to Minny (possibly later tonight). So Jones and Massey will be going from Brookhaven to Minny. Alex will have an interesting choice- 1) go play with all his buddies in Minny, 2) go somewhere totally new like OU or LSU or 3) stay home in C-bus. Stay tuned!

Summary Daniels is being treated like someone who is already committed. He was the only prospect at practice yesterday, he walked into the WHAC by himself, he walked into a defensive huddlle and he was chummy with the coaches. Well Massey gave his pledge to the gophers and I am sure Jones will be next. I also think Daniels will complete the trio.

I watched Alex on the BN videos of him. If he really is 220-230, he'd make one nasty strong safety. He definitely has the speed to play there. The only thing that bothers me about him is his constant need to showboat and bring attention to himself. Some may call that enthusiasm, but I think he was going overboard sometimes. I think he tends to overpursue a bit in hopes of making a huge play but he has a killer instinct. He's not afraid of contact and you get this feeling he loves playing the game.

Who would be a better running back candidate, Daniels or Lennix? I tend to think
Daniels. Lennix looks like a safety.

OU Rivals premium
Alex just got back from Norman and rated his visit as a 9 1/2 out of 10. But said Minnesota was a 10 out of 10 because he has so many friends there. The writer did not ask about tOSU, nor did Alex comment on them. Alex said he is putting recruiting aside for the holidays. OU insiders premium FWIW- the OU Insiders site did a preview article to this recruiting weekend and said that tOSU was eliminated and it was down to Minny and OU. Keep in mind that all the tOSU "gurus" claim tOSU is still very much in the running and most of the BN and BSB guys predict Alex will choose tOSU.

That is very interesting information. I can only believe our "gurus" I guess, but the fact that they said tOSU was eliminated kind of strikes me the wrong way. I don't really understand that after Daniels came to our practice the other day and seems to have a great relationship with our staff as. We will see in the next few days I guess what comes of this, since the BN and BSB writers will have articles on his visits as well I am sure where they actually will comment on tOSU. I really want Alex in the S&G... bad.

I can't believe the OU folks would just make up the 'OSU eliminated' story out of whole cloth. There must be at least a grain of truth to it. Alex said something along those lines to somebody in Norman.
Maybe the stop-by in JT's office didn't go so well. Maybe he's following Mom's wishes and considering only out-of-Columbus schools. I'd be willing to bet all my chiclets that Alex will end up somewhere other than tOSU. Since (according to Mom) he likes to hang with a posse, I'd bet on Minny, where he's got homeys. That would make Brookhaven the last championship team he'll ever play on.

OU Insiders premium
He had a good time on his visit but he got homesick. He said he didn't get close to committing. He will sit down with his mom and coach in early January and "try to sort things out". He says he has seen OU, Minny, tOSU and make take another visit in January. It looks to me after reading both (Rivals and Insiders) after visit updates that OU is out (he did not say that- JMO). Right now the choice appears to be, play with his buddies in Minny (making his mom happy) or staying at home and playing for the Bucks. It should be interesting.
