i graduated from marion franklin in 2001 with my wife. her younger brother plays on the team with a. daniels. he says that at the beginning of the year daniels was a lock for osu, but now he is going to ou. at marion franklin alex to ou is common knowledge.

Well it wouldn't be the first time a couple of Brookhaven kids ended up at Oklahoma. Too bad if true. Daniels is a specimen.

NOPE!!!!! that idiot thought he was gonna be a WR until he found out Pete had other plans for him. IMO it's hilarious/ironic because his whole reason for going to USC was the wide open offense. LMFAO how many buckeyes saw that one coming a mile away.

well i talked to coach rios at football camp and he told me that fred davis is #1 on the depth chart after spring practice for Split End....now that Mike williams mght be back i think that changes but he is a reiciever

Well hopefully coach Rios is right for once!!!!! I mean he didn't even know where his star player was gonna end up. Fred davis was injured so I don't know where coach Rios got that from. I have seen Fred Davis play on many occassions and I really don't know what the big deal about him was. I think it was his size at WR that all the coaches liked. He didn't impress me when i saw him play.

If you think Fred Davis is gonna start in front of the other receivers at USC YOU NEED TO QUIT HITTING THE CRACK PIPE. There is a line of guys waiting for their chance to play. Fred Davis was moved to safety for a reason. The reason is because all of the other players they had commit were better. IMO USC needs safeties alot more than receivers. I hope Fred enjoys 4 or 5 years of defense hahahahahahaha LMFAO.

When I saw Davis play he was playing RB at Rogers H.S. in Toledo. He was passed to a couple of times out of the backfield and dropped the pass. I'm sure he'll be a star safety at USC!!!! WHAT A JOKE!!!!

I'm glad we got Dukes and Lyons. I have seen film on them and they are both much better than Fred Davis. They don't have his size but IMO Lyons will be a monster before he leaves OSU.

Let's get back to the original post about Alex Daniels. When a kid his size runs a 4.4 you need to do anything and everything to get the kid. Oklahoma will pull no stops to get this kid. It's pretty scary when we waited as long as we did to offer a kid with his ability. That shows you how much talent we are in on across the country. I find it hard to believe Lenix has not been offered yet.

IMO Daniels will be a buckeye but it will be more of a battle than us bucknuts really want it too be. IMO the kid really wants to be a buckeye but he wants to look at his options. I hate to say it but Oklahoma is a pretty damn good option to just turn down without checking it out. IMO the chance of him being a buckeye are 75% or higher but you never know.

I've been a big Lyons supporter since last December - he will be a star.

Daniels is tough to call right now - for some reason, he seems to be torn between OSU and OU. Regardless of where Alex ultimately ends up, I certainly hope that this isn't another Fred Davis situation, with rumor, innuendo, and misinformation flying around for months on end.

The only difference between Daniels and Davis is their rankings. Davis was ranked the #1 WR in the country by SOME gurus. If you ask any person from the Toledo area they will tell you he was very overrated. He must have been awsome against 5'8'' or 5'9'' dbs at camps but the college guys are gonna tear him up.

Daniels isn't even ranked yet by most gurus. Daniels will climb the rankings all year. The more offers he gets, the more camps he goes too, and the more film people see on him will cause his rankings to soar. This kid should be a 5* recruit. He ran a 4.4 forty at 6'3 228 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!! That is amazing!!!! Can you imagine having a true freshmen safety of linebacker with those measurables.

We need this kid to replace Hawk, D'andre, and Carpenter when they leave. IMO this kid will make an impact as soon as he gets to columbus. This is a must get recruit IMO.

I am from Toledo, and I wont say overrated because i thought ryne robinson was overrated and he is doing great at Miami of Ohio. But i will say this, if you are going to play in the city leauge, which is not the greatest place for football, i mean we have st francis, where i went not blowing my own horn but we did win states and then lose to the state champs, and st johns made a run last year and central is ok and whitmer is ok and so but anyhow, if you are a 5star player and you are the 3rd best reciever, you should flat out dominate the toledo city leauge, similar to how drushon humphries DOMINATED the city leauge, i mean the year before we won states he ran for like 400 yards on us...in one half! and we had a very good defense. i think in three yers of varsity football fred scored one TD on us, and it was late in the 4th quarter of an already lost game. i dont know his exact numbers but he was used more as a running back and he wasnt that great as a running back, i mean good yes. and as a reciever many questioned his hands. hahaha you could say he has the physical ability to play safety. i wont say hes overrated, but every single one of my friends who played football against him will say he is overrated.
