I found it odd that Daniels said he has called Pellini during the dead period, but he hasn't had any contact with the OSU coaches since camp. Wouldn't he also want to give a ring to Tucker or Fickell or Snyder if we were his co-favorites? I think Alex is genuinely confused and has a tough decision to make...
By the way, his mom does not want to ship him out of town. She plans on returning to her native Cleveland to care for her mother once Alex graduates high school and I assume she figuers if he is going to be on his own, he might as well do it in a new place. At least that's my guess... |

The last thing OSU needs is another child in a grown man's body, we dont need the negative press!

Daniels will make an official visit to Oklahoma for the Texas game (October 9th), and decide between Ohio State and Oklahoma shortly thereafter. No mention of any official visit to Ohio State.

1. He's set on picking Oklahoma and is going there just to make absolutely sure that is where he wants to play, and really has no intention of going to Ohio State (thus no official visit). 2. He already knows he wants to play for Ohio State (and doesn't even need an official visit), but is going to Oklahoma to see what they got just in case. |

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Daniels has even been to Norman yet.
With the Red River Shootout being played at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, he still won't see what the Norman area has to offer if he does use that as his offcial visit. I find it hard to believe that he would pick a school without ever visiting their campus. If I am indeed wrong about AD ever going to Norman, ignore my whole post. ![]() EDIT: Combine the fact that Norman is just about 2+ hour trip from Dallas with great technological advances in transportation, and it's likely he'll see the campus at some point that weekend. Forgive me, but I just don't have a good feeling about this one. I think he is Oklahoma bound. I guess we will just have to wait until after the quiet period and Alex's visit to Dallas. The only thing that I tend to cling to is the article back in April on Rivals where his coach said "That's been a dream of his, to play for Ohio State."
Either way, I wish Alex the best of luck... |

Being from Columbus, Alex probably has a pretty good idea of what Ohio State has to offer, so he might not need to take an official visit to OSU. In any event, he didn't say that he wouldn't visit OSU.
As some posters mentioned on another board, the Oklahoma-Texas game is played at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. |

Great picture of Hartline and Daniels, among others. Daniels has some positive things to say about tOSU and, as others speculated earlier, is taking the trip to Oklahoma because he doesn't really know much about the school. One difference is we are recruiting him as a LB and Oklahoma wants him as a safety. He seems to prefer SS, mentioning Sean Taylor at one point. It's 50-50 at this point... |
