Sledge is not really "out of the blue". Back in the summer, Ohio State was his top choice, and the Bucks have remained in the picture ever since. He'd be a great addition as an "athlete" with big upside.

Jeez! Why does this sound like Conridge Collins all over again? He sounds like a great athlete though,we'll take him if his grades are in order.

I can certainly believe that Kearney might be plan B if McCoy does not commit, but Sledge doesn't really seem to be a replacement for anyone who is undecided (maybe Carlos Thomas? Kyle McCarthy?), if he is being recruited as a WR/S. Our biggest undecided recruits are at RB, DE, and LB.

Finding any info on his grades took a while, but an Ole Miss report from 1/5/05 lists his cored GPA as 3.2 and his SAT as a 980...numbers that are similar to Lenix's 3.4 GPA and a 15 on the ACT.

I take back the Salley comparison, seeing as though Sledge now says he is around 6'5 200 lbs. The sites have him listed around 6'3 180, similar to Salley coming out of high school. In the same Ole Miss report Sledge also says he is under 4.5 in the 40.

And for those concerned about Carlos Thomas giving his OSU visit an "8.5", Eric Sledge left Louisville with The Cardinal as his favorite, saying he had a "great time". His score of the trip on a scale of 1-10? "I’d give it an 8 overall." It's all relative...

On friend HH, over on a nameless sight has said, "we should be excited about Sledge"! Sounds like he's ours!

6' 5", 200 lbs.?! Somebody make this kid some pancakes. Please.

Take a look at the photo at the top of this thread. Jessica Simpson has bigger calves.

But if he's okay with old HH, he's okay by me. Come on up, Eric. You can have Michael Jenkins' old uniform. We'll just need to take in the pants a little.

Where does it say 6'5" and 200?

In the BN article is says 6'3"-200 with him adding 10-15 lbs since the season ended via training and eating correctly-- all muscle. Is it in the Rivals artcile because I dont have a subscription there?

I like those measureables better. That sounds like another Lyons to me.

As I mentioned above, Sledge says he is 6'5 and runs a sub 4.5 in this premium Ole Miss Insiders article...
