To answer the question about 4+8=12, they found it worked better with an even number of campers while running the drills. They wanted to keep the original title, it has a better ring to it.

Soldier,
I'm not so sure about Lemming wanting an ND QB. He's now hyping Nebraska and his buddy Callahan.

Buckskins86:
Do you think that UVA commit Vicqual Hall, because of his 5-11, 185 lbs frame, is considered more of an "athlete" than a valid QB prospect?
His numbers are amazing. He was as prolific as Perrilloux. In his junior year he rushed 188 times for 1,635 yds with 20 TDs, and passed for 3,030 yds with 31 TDs.
Some of those guys in the elite 11 are barely 6 feet tall and did not have one third of this guy's numbers. Strange.

no. 12 is Harrison Beck from Clearwater Fl- he is a Nebraska verbal
Lemming has nothing to do with the Elite 11 camp but this recent choice would make you think he did-certainly his buddy Bill Callahan would approve
USCemper
I do not know enough about Hall to make a judgement- but he seems to be an outstanding athlete. I assume his versatility may have hurt his chances as an Elite 11 QB- (Antonio Bass from Michigan was also another candidate that didn't make it because it is generally considered that he won't play QB at the next level)
Yea- there are some shorter QB's this year- I read an article that said Christensen (Iowa verbal) isn't even 6ft (more like 5' 10" or 11")

How Duke can land early verbals from two top QBs is beyond me. Troy Smith's invite, I'm sure was based on what he did at St. Edward as a junior.
It would be nice to get one of these top guys to groom.
Here's one for you experts: How can Indiana have the 12th best football winning percentage in Big Ten history?

Wasn't the University of Chicago an original B10 member? IIRC, they were a serious power, until they decided that academics were more important than football... those poor, deluded souls
