ok, im still with brandon, and his counsler just came in to say that notre dames new head coach is flying in to see brandon before a press conference, so maybe this will open up notre dame to brandon again, even though hes denying it and saying that he hates notre dame now. but whatever i guess we'll find out tomorrow.

I know he is "physically ready to play" or whatever, but my question is what do the scUM coaches plan to do with him when it's 3rd and goal at the 5 and we throw a jump ball in the corner to Devon Lyons (6'4") matched up one-on-one with Harrison? Or Roy Hall (6'3")? Or any other WR on the roster that is well over 6-foot?

My point exactly...I fully expect to see Devon Lyons using his frame to dominate smaller DBs. He's not built in that Moss/Burress/stork mold, but he definitely should have a height and weight advantage in most situations.

scUM Scout Massey and Avant Named Captains By Don Hoekwater Columnist/Photographer Date: Aug 22, 2005 University of Michigan head football coach Lloyd Carr announced today that seniors Jason Avant and Pat Massey were named captains of the Wolverine football team for the 2005 season. Patrick Massey is a fifth-year defensive tackle who has started a team leading 21 games on defense, according to MGoBlue.com He had a career-best 37 tackles in 2004, including five sacks. He is the fifth defensive lineman chosen as captain during Carr's time as head coach. Jason Avant is a fourth-year wide receiver who looks to be the go-to guy for quarterback Chad Henne this season. He is currently the actice leader in every receiving category for Michigan and is the first receiver selected for the honor during Carr's term as head coach.. Also today, it was announced that freshman Brandon Harrison will move to the safety position. Harrison was originally recruited for the cornerback spot. Llloyd must have told BH that he'd be the next Marlin Jackson. Unfortunately for Harrison, that means wasting time at FS when you really should be playing corner.
