Unfortunately he's most likely headed to Ann Arbor. That was the word at the Big 33 game.

John (Spring Lake, MI): Tom, are you saying that Michigan does not seem to be leading in the race for King? Boy would it nice to see him in the winged helm!!
Tom Lemming: No, not exactly. Justin King appears to come down between PSU and Michigan. He grew up a fan of Michigan but his coach/stepfather played at Penn St. You would assume his love of his alma mater would be passed on to Justin.

Joe (State College, PA): Are Justin King and Derrick Williams headed to PSU?
Tom Lemming: Both of them won't be making decisions soon. But both will be mid term grads so their decision will probably come in January. Penn St. would be my guess for both of them.

What wrong, aren't people negatively recruiting joe pa's age anymore? they seem to be doing a lot better picking up blue chippers lately we dont need them to be a top ten team again. I know tress wont likely tell kids about how soon joe pa will keel over but im sure some of the other coaches will. Did that 4 year contract extension really work?

nice game for King Sat night
Quote:
King took his first handoff 84 yards for a touchdown, one of four scoring plays. The senior tailback ran for 176 yards rushing on 18 carries and had 212 yards total offense.
"He's an outstanding athlete," Woodland Hills coach George Novak said. "He's got great speed, and we don't have anybody to run with him."

Notebook: USC coach comes to watch King
By The Tribune-Review
Tuesday, September 7, 2004
The inaugural Pennsylvania Kickoff Classic at Gateway drew a long-distance traveler Saturday. Southern Cal secondary coach Greg Burns watched Gateway senior Justin King from the sidelines.
King, who has narrowed his college choices to Florida, Michigan, Penn State and Southern Cal, said Burns' presence at the game made a favorable impression.
"It's a statement to come that far to watch one kid," added Gateway coach Terry Smith.

This is a bummer. I was hoping Justin would be this year's Devin Lyons.
Joe P. must really be pouring it on in-state recruits this year, after last year's losses and with articles appearing every day announcing his demise. He is a proud guy and Penn State is a proud program. It's obvious he doesn't want to go out a loser.

He has visits set up with PSU, USC, Florida and is working on his scUM visit (those are the four shools that he says have done the best job recruiting him). He is not sure if he will take a fifth visit but if he does it will go to tOSU.
A decision is expected by Mid- Nov.

According to King USC is closing the gap on his top 3(scUM, PSU and Florida)
If he's not coming here I personally think he should go to Florida or USC
