Any chance this might be a ploy to try to pull in Justin King?
Or maybe his injury is too much too risk a scholie on since Hartline is already banged up?

Just a hunch, but I think they know they have Smalls pretty much in the bag, with Oatis also very likely. That'd be the two safeties (with O'Neal) and two corners (with Jenkins) in this class. Consider that Oatis is also a pretty good RB and the choice of him over a waffling AMW is obvious. That'd be another strong DB class for sure.
If Oatis falls through, Lenix could be in line for an offer immediately after that. I hope he gets one regardless.

it just doesn't seem likely this has anything to do with grades (he has a very hi GPA) or athletic ability .. plus he's an Ohio kid and Tressel, et al, sure seems to give Ohio kids much more weight than even superior athletes from other states...
so this has to be a function of attitude or personality... AMW has either said or done something that made the coaches turn their back on him...

AMW father's comments
AMW father speaks out on another tOSU site ....

he stated that they were contacted by the Buckeyes, who stated
that they would like to have AMW, but they needed a decesion.
AMW stated he was going to take all of his visits, and a dececion would
come later.
t OSU replied that if he wasn't ready to commit, they would go in a different direction.
This is totally different than yanking the 'ship out from under him.
They said we want you but it has to be now ... and he said no.
t OSU moves on ....

One question to anybody in the know. Was AMW stock dropping before all of this. Has he dropped in ranking on insiders, rivals, duane, or anybody's ranking???

AMW has been hurt/not 100% for a good chunk of the year. Rivals rankings are almost worthless in-season. Duane doesn't seem overly perturbed/questioning of the handling of this situation.
