West Virginia RB Jason Gwaltney (official thread)

OSU's RB's in this class is Wells and Russell (he'll get a look at RB) and maybe Lenix and if Gwaltney comes around that's a whole lot of icing on the cake . I'm quite happy with what OSU has gotten in the RB class.

as for next year...Dionte Johnson will surely get some time at RB also taking over in the Brandon Joe role.

theyre both even but he has a school? is he going to both? listing OSU first is a tell that its USC. its like betting big when you have nothing and betting low when you have a good hand.

read that second part carefully. he digs into OSU fans, then in an effort to lean back towards the middle says he likes OSU.

I don't like this quote. My understanding of this quote is he recruited them at the AA game. Everyone knows USC landed more than we did at the game, and he did say a couple of kids, so it makes me think he's set on USC.

However I don't know if this is old news, but someone on BN's just recently stated Gwaltney is on BSB right now (I know he was on pay site yesterday, so I'm wondering if its just yesterdays news). Also another BN's poster stated that Gwaltney claims tOSU as a leader. It could all be a hoax of course, but I just I thought I should point this out.

Here's hoping that HH's quote from JG was correct: "It's gotta be the Buckeyes!"

Who did USC land at the game? The only guy I remember committing to them was Rey Mauluga. We got Wells. They had Sanchez and Kevin Thomas, we had Jamario and Boone. I think it's even, no?

Add Duane to that also. They also said if you asked the staff what the biggest surprise of the recruiting season was, they would say losing McCoy and that HH was basically right on target...however, they are so confident in JG right now, he would be a major surprise also if he went elsewhere.

Guys, this is a great thread! I try to pop on here a couple times a day to see what's going on. I am addicted now. This whole thing has had more twists and turns than most big-screen movies. Making very difficult to get any work done.....

Using very basic English, his statements clearly point to USC. In his first sentence, he wants to prove Bucknuts posters wrong in what they said. In his next sentence, he essentially says, "Still I don't dislike Ohio State". The word "still" shows that the first sentence was more in a negative context. It's like the following two sentences: "I'm not taking Cindy to the prom. Still, I like her and thinks she's a great girl".

I'd like to see Gwaltney come to OSU as much as anyone on this board does--I think he's going to be a great RB in college--but his statements there show no hope for us, in my mind. Then again, this kid could still be playing around. Like I've said before, I could count on anything until I see a signed LOI.

IF Gwaltney does choose OSU, I'll bet my collection of dust mites that it takes the media 30 seconds to say OSU has it's own version of "Thunder and Lightening" as if it's a new concept.

if anyone outside of reality cares to take a gander back in time, I think Archie and Pete Johnson were just a tad more impressive and clearly before the the socal ghetto's version

By going on to BSB, JG is probably building suspense for Wed. Gary H from last year has some making up to do until I believe him. Sorry but JG is going to USC, end of story. He'll be a great player for the Trojans.

This kid is USC bound, I've had that feeling for a long time now. If he wants to play early, he'd probably be better off at OSU, but I feel that he has fallen for the Trojan mystic.
