Scout Premium
Nothing new...he says he never was really interested in BC. At the end he says he is trying to get Cushing to go wherever he goes. Rivals Premium Same ol' stuff...he is down to USC and OSU. USC is appealing because of the recruiting class and the fact they are always a contender. OSU is appealing because they are poised for big things next year and he could probably play earlier. |

stripes -
thanks as always for the input...what's your take on this? http://pennstate.scout.com/2/343534.html for those that can't see, Bob Lichtenfels talks about Cusing not having a great experience being so far away from home while in San Antonio... |

mom usually wins out...should be fun to see what happens.
sorry for hijacking the Gwaltney thread, but since he mentioned Cushing in his last update I thought it was relevant... |

let's delve deeper into the plot. Gwaltny now says he is only going to consider usc and osu, but he is still going to wait to announce on 2/1 even though he's not considering BC.
So, by saying such, he is implying that he already knows where he is going to go, but he is still going to wait until after caroll's in-home visit. if he was going to commit to usc, why does he have to wait for this? or, he just wants to build the drama and everything above is pointless. |

looks promising
From BSB: With all of his official visits complete, Gwaltney reflects on what he sees as the perfect situation for him. Gwaltney said the perfect school would have great weather, isn't loaded at running back, has great coaches and is in the middle of the country," said Gwaltney. "That's basically it; that's the perfect school for me. he said the problem is, you're not going to find any warm weather schools in the middle of the country with a laugh. Gwaltney hints that USC may be too far away for him to go to school. He also talked about some of the aspects in staying close to home. Gwaltney said the major thing is trouble. "When you stay close to home, you tend to come back and do the same things you did when you were in high school. A lot of people's opinions of you change when you're successful, and that's not good – you don't want to be around that." |
