Who did JG get from the Army All American game to "go to the school he was going to"?
|
As Stripes said, he was playing the media (and the coaches) from both sides. He got about 5 other RBs to go with him, that's who...

Hey Nevada Buck, by any chance could you post the conversation you said you would post after he signed his LOI??

take this for what it is worth, but I thought this would be good to share, considering it is pretty speculative...from a poster on the BSB board:

apparently Coach Rod from WVU made some comments off the record to some reporters at his press conference yesterday that he was highly impressed with the way OSU went about recruiting Gwaltney. This was said in contrast to the way Petey Carroll went about things.
From what I'm told Rodriguez had high praise for Tressel and staff and their professionalism and their desire for Jason to make the choice that he felt was best for him and that he had their support as a young man either way. Also, OSU did not invoke negative recruiting tactics but instead focused on the positives of the OSU opportunity.
Petey, however, only wanted what was best for Jason as long as what it matched what was best for Petey.....and he went negative from the get go on WVU and OSU.....and in the end was less than gracious with Jason once he found out Jason was going to stick to his original commitment to WVU.

Just got done reading Nevada's version of the JG saga on BN. It only confirms what we all know...JT is a classier act than amost of his colleagues.

For the record, WVU has six RB's in its 2005 class; by my count (and I was not a math major), that is twice as many as Ohio State has on its roster. Go figure....
|
From the little I can gather about WVU recruiting they are going to need to convert at least three of these backs to OL.

Hey guys, let's keep this positive. Praise JT all you want, but if you want to complaint about, or rip on Pete Carroll, do it in another forum. JG has made his decision, and any speculation or comments should probably be done in the open forum now.
