Williams is in my neck of the woods. I plan on seeing him play a few times this year. I'll be sure to take the camera with me.

LR-looking forward to hearing your reports and seeing your pictures
this kid sounds very, very special
his coach is quoted in the latest Rivals article saying that he is the best player he has coached in his 10 years coaching- and he has coached 3 NFL players plus Derrick Harvey last year
His offer list is already like a who's who of CFB-Tennessee, Florida, Ohio State, LSU, Maryland, Oklahoma, Penn State and Virginia have already formally extended offers
How long before Petey says he will be his no. 1 guy??

I think our chances of landing him are slim to none. He stated that he wants to play in a conference which passes the ball a lot. The big 10 does not fit that criteria. He could change his mind, but I think he is another WR that doesn't want to block he wants to play in a spread offense.

Derrick Williams, the superlative Maryland WR, says he expects to graduate early. Although he declines to name a favorite, his mother works at Maryland and his brother, Dominique, was an All-America in high school before attending North Carolina.

WR Derrick Williams (6-1, 193, 4.4) of Greenbelt Roosevelt (MD) says he has over thirty scholarship offers. He absolutely denies any favorites.
"I don't have a top five, six or even ten. I like everybody," said Williams.

"Location doesn't play a role. I've been travelling since I was a kid and I'll play anywhere. I don't care if it's hot or cold, or in the country or city. I'll just need to make sure I'm comfortable there."

"I want to go in and compete early to start. Also, I want to go where the coaches will be there for the whole time I'm there. My dad and my coach are gonna help me narrow it down during the season. Once the college coaches start calling and recruiting more I'll see who wants me the most and I'll probably try to visit those schools."
Derrick is also being recruited for track (10.6-100m/21.5-200m) and plans to double-sport. He played QB his JR season and rushed for 1500 yds and 26 TDs. He also passed for 700 yds, with 7 TDs and three picks--but everybody is recruiting him as a receiver.
"I have good speed and I work hard. I'm very dedicated and have a lot of heart. I'm also very strong and have a lot of will. I really want to improve on all my stats from last year. I'm working on my explosiveness and pass routes."

If that plays out, then we will have a better chance then we think, especially Holmes might be leaving early...which I hope not! It would be great to land him and see him run track with Ted Ginn and company.
