Don't know if this is a new development or not (it's not posted in this thread), but Elijah's now rated in the Insider's Hot 100 at #99 overall. If we get him and McCoy, that's 2 top 100 LBs!

Hodge has never been to Iowa although his brother goes there and he's looking forward to checking out the campus. He wants to "see the atmosphere" and the academic side of the school. His brother Abdul has been telling him how great a place it is and how easy it is to get used to. This update was done by an Iowa site so there is no mention of Ohio State. Jerks! ![]() Scout.com Premium Abdul Hodge is quoted in this article saying he is coming back for his senior year at Iowa. When asked if he can see Elijah going to Ohio State Abdul laughs and says he can't see him in a Buckeye uniform but his brother will make his own decision. HH made the statement Abdul was going pro- obviously wrong. Elijah was wearing Abduls old reebok Hawkeye jersey at the Iowa BB game. He appeared very mellow and didnt get overly excited as some of the recruits did during the game. He will take a visit to Wisky 12/17 as the Badgers are attempting to come in late . I get some good inside info on the Iowa end and can honestly tell you its a crap shoot where he ends up. Iowa folks who think he is a lock i feel are wrong and i would say the same to OSU folks who feel he is a lock. One thing thats for certain he wont end up like some scUM dl showing his stuff on folk's porches. Lol best of luck filling your class. Congrats on Lenix as Im one Iowa fan who knows that the OSU offer is most likely an end to other schools chances of getting Freddie. I feel he probably would be better closer to Cleveland due to his child but would welcome him at Iowa if he chose to come to Iowa which is unrealistic to me at this point. GL the rest of the way. Win the Alamo Bowl !

dude, no offense, but HH knows about 10x more than any iowa insider when it comes to florida players. if he says osu leads, then it's safe to say that osu leads. anything can change, but i'd say he's osu's to lose.
and btw, HH recently posted that the older hodge would be staying, because the estimate he got wasn't big enough. |

Hodge says Iowa now leads after his official visit this weekend. But he is not yet ready to make his decision. Hodge will make his official visit to Wisconsin next weekend and said he should know his decision after that trip. Last edited by Buckskin86; 12-12-2004 at 08:12 PM. |

HH just posted this thread in the premium. Board. He started the thread. What do you make of this? He is being way to cryptic here.

I took it as Hodge's window of opportunity is closing..maybe push a quicker commitment through or cross us off altogether

Yes, you have to think that with Spitler and Laurinaitis already on board and Lenix, McCoy, and Mathis all close to committing (not necessarily to us), we're running out of spots to get the 4 LBs we need. If Hodge wants to come, he'd better make it known soon.

It still sounds good for Hodge

Wells might be the only Florida kid this year.
But that's not all that bad. Take the #2 RB in the country every other year, and OSU is good. |
