I tell ya if Andre looks at Florida and Tenn, as opposed to Ohio State, he'd see that he may never get serious play time in the near future at those schools. Tennessee has 21 linebackers on their roster. That's a boatload and only 2 of them are seniors. Florida may not have as many but they've had a good couple of years with recruiting LB's. In the past 2 years they have recruited 3-4 star LB's, and this year they aren't doing that bad either. Not that any great athlete doesn't like competition but Ohio State has only gotten 1-4 Star LB recently. I
If Andre looks at it on paper he'll see that Ohio State has not obtained any LB in this '05 recruiting class, and last year there was only 1-4 star Lb recruited. That could translate into some major playing time for him if/when he suites up in the Scarlet and Grey uniform as opposed to other the teams he's looking at. Besides that he'd be close to home if he went to OSU. Its a strait shot up Rt. 71

Mathis says Tennessee is #1, followed by Ohio State. Before Zook was fired the Gators were probably in his top 2. He's also still looking at scUM St., Iowa, Nebraska and Florida.

Nutty,
Do we know when he'll visit the Shoe? I think he's got Tenn scheduled 11/6th.

It says December 3rd on his Rivals page. There will be a lot of big name prospects in that weekend but it would be nice if he could see a game in the Shoe.

Has he seen any OSU games on an unofficial visit?? If OSU could get him down here for a game to see all the fans and all the fanfare before the game, like Skull session and the band, you'd think it would make an impression.

Mathis is visiting the same weekend as rico mccoy. however, i believe they are both visiting tennessee together as well 2 weeks later. i dont know if that's good or bad, especially since mathis named tennessee his leadera while back.
