The Insiders on Jessie Hester, Jr.
WR Jessie Hester Jr. is transferring to Belle Glades Central, the school which produced Buckeye receivers Santonio Holmes and Albert Dukes. Jessie is interested in Ohio State, but doesn't have an offer from the Bucks. Miami is his leader. |

I just watched Jessie Hester, Jr.'s videos on Rivals, and they are very impressive. Although his speed is "only" 4.53 (Nike-timed), he clearly has legit top-end speed, as no one caught him from behind. He is mostly a deep threat, but has the speed and moves to take a slant (or even a hitch) to the house. He has great hands (several nice grabs of overthrown balls) and concentration (many over-the-shoulder catches of deep throws, some in heavy traffic). On reel no. 1, he has an unbelievable punt return, reminiscent of Dante' Hall or Deion Sanders.
Jessie is a Rival 4* prospect, and worthy of the rating, IMO. Let's hope that the Belle Glades "pipeline" to OSU continues this season. |

Hester announced his top 5 today with Miami, Fl and Iowa at the top but listed OSU in top 5 and said He will visit all 5 so it looks like my favorite and adopted second favorite Big ten teams get visits. On a side note the only DB at miamis camp that had any sucess jamming Hester at the line was M. Rolle the 2006 classes top player . Hester is by all accounts a very very good player. Good news all around.

Another article on Jessie Hester, Jr. - his favorites are Miami, Iowa, and Georgia (all offered).
As a junior, even though Hester played in only four games because of a broken right leg, he still managed to catch 11 passes for 350 yards and five touchdowns. As a sophomore, he caught 21 passes for 370 yards and eight touchdowns. Insiders on Jessie Hester, Jr. (9/2/04) |

Hester might visit
Coach Hazell visited Jessie on Tuesday night. They told him that tOSU was thinking about offering him but they wanted him to take his official visit soon (Jan. 4th). He said he is not sure he should go until he has an offer. Quote:

Who do they think they're going to get?
Williams is the long shot, I guess. Robiskie would commit if offered, you'd have to think. |

tOSU in Hester's top 5
Insiders premium
Hester is listing tOSU in his top five (Iowa, Georgia, South Florida, Florida and Ohio State). tOSU has been in for an in-home visit but they have yet to offer. He will officially visit Iowa next week but has yet to set up any other visits. This is what he says about tOSU. Quote:

Insiders saying tOSU leads for Hester with former leader UF in third.
The Belle Glade Pipeline is getting wider, me thinks. |

The injuries slightly concern me, but I don't put any stock in his measurables. Glades kids just know how to play the game. |

Florida Insiders premium
He says he is pretty wide open but tOSU is his current favorite with S. Florida 2nd and Florida 3rd. He canceled his Iowa visit this weekend. He likes the Bucks because he knows a couple of people (Dukes, Santonio??) on tOSU and likes the Big Ten. Quote:
