This kid from could be hard to bring North, but he would be a nice addition. Assuming we do get McCoy along with Spitlier and Laur...the kid from Minnesota and Kearney do they all stay at LB. Most times the measurables on these kids are exaggerated, so I wonder if any of these kids have either the size to move to DE or the speed to move to safety or fullback. Anyways I hope Kearney becomes a Buck.

I was thinking Spitler would become a monster FB for us along with Johnson... and Kearney has also been recruited as a safety by some school. However, McCoy and Laurinaitis would stay at LB.

Spitler is being recruited as linebacker only, even though he did play fullback in high school.

You don't know how familiar this is all sounding. The same things were being said about a linebacker from Centerville a few years ago.

Kearney confirms visit for this weekend. His four finalists (South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and Ohio State) are all even. OSU is recruiting him as an OLB (weak side).
I don't think that he's ever been to Columbus, which he calls "a fairly small town", but he likes Ohio State because "everyone [in Columbus] knows about Ohio State football" and the Bucks draw "large crowds, they put a lot of players to the league, a lot of great press, and a lot of T.V. time."

I read that small town quote also. Boy, other coaches will say anything to dissuade someone. I can hear it now. Son, why would you want to go to that small town college that will be on probation and have new coach and will be flooded once sometimes twice a year?

I think OSU has a great shot at this kid....he sounds like he is very interested in OSU.

"They seem pretty cool. I can't wait to talk to Coach Tressel," he acknowledged "I'm looking forward to getting to know the coaches, the players, and there. I also am looking forward to see things academic wise to see how the school is and how it feels up there."
|
Get him on campus and the chances are good he picks OSU in my opinion.

i'll let you speculate from here.

this is from an article posted today on scout.com
"....This quick linebacker out of Tucker High School is being recruited to play strong safety for Ohio State and outside linebacker by the other schools. "
No worries 'bout McCoy. I think Saturday could be real nice for the Bucks.
