Their fans were absolute assholes the only time I went to Happy Valley the year we lost huge. I have no plans ever returning there, or at least in the near future. On that note I don't care about the fastest way there, I'll take the slowest

It's a bit risky but you could flush. Risky? Well, you could end up north instead of east.

I agree. When I have to travel in the area, I usually stay in a Holiday Inn off 80. I forget the exit number, now. My map only shows the old exit numbers (Old Exit 23). That's route 150. 220 looks like its also that exit. And it looks to me from my map that 150 goes right into State College.

You have to be careful with those kind of directions, if the wind is blowing from the northwest the smell of [censored] can become so powerful that it disorients people....he could end up turning left and driving to Indiana or worse...you know where he could end up...and we don't want that happening.

As promised. My friend runs the GoPSUsports.com website. He says this is all you will need: Stadium Guide (pdf).
Here is a seating chart. Visitor sections are NK and NJ in the lower deck, and NK and NL in the upper deck.
NK lower view:
NL upper view:
Parking looks like a hassle. I remember parking in a cow field well away from the stadium every time I've gone....and it was a different field each time. That's not a problem though because you can see the stadium from where ever you park....theres nothing but grass between you and it. There's a parking guide in that pdf.
Tailgating is pretty straight forward. He says you can just wander around looking for other OSU fans or go downtown and get heckled by idiot stater fans. I don't think it is advised to wander into PSU tailgate territory...as they will likely be 5-0 and in full dip [censored] Penn State mode.
That website should also be updated a week before the game to get the Game Day Advisory, which will tell when things open and things like that.

PSU fans can be bad to visiting fans ive heard and to players. one of my buddys that played in the early 90's said that was his first road game he got to travel on and the way the visiting team comes out of the tunnel is right next to concessions and fans. He said some old lady spit right in his face, it is a bad set up all the way around they can touch you protection is limited. Ive heard of some bad visiting fan treatment as well.
