This game will be a shootout. I expect the score to be something like 89-85. Dee Brown is going to be tough to stop, but Illinois lost to many players to be....
*interrupted* "What?"
"This is football season."
"oh...."
Here's to another offensive explosion

I don't see Ohio State breaking 40 points if Illinois is held to 10 or fewer, unless the score is 37-3, and Ohio State's backup CB returns an interception for 6. When Tressel gets a 3-touchdown lead late in the game, it takes a big run or a defensive or special teams play to score the touchdown.
I see a game similar to the San Diego State game. Illinois will get a long play that results in a score. But they'll punt more times than they get first downs. If the offense plays as well as they did this past week, Smith is going to be out of the game halfway through the 3rd quarter, and Zwick will be out with 5 minutes to go in the game.
I don't know much about Illinois' offense. But I know that they get beat by everyone else, so I don't see them doing much. My prediction: 38-7.

The big question will be if Boeckman comes in before Zwick again... Sorry, someone had to bring it up

Funny you say that Piney but I am a little suprised it has not been discussed more. Maybe we are all just tired of the QB situation, but to be 100% honest I was really suprised to see Bokeman in there and not Zwick. I am not going to read into more then what is, but I was a little suprised to say the very least. Anyway, this is about Illinois... so umm yeah I predict a W in this one.

We'll be up 24-3 at the half, and the starters will see very little action in the second half. Final score: 38-10.

Tressel explained that a little in his post-game interview, and I know someone mentioned it on here. The explanation was that Tressel wanted to get Smith out of the game in a hurry (if you remember, he came out in the middle of a drive - not between drives), and Tressel "couldn't find Zwick." All they were going to do was hand the ball of a couple of times, so Boeckman went in.
I find it a little hard to believe. Zwick should have the feeling that "mop-up" time was coming, so he should know where to be when it's his time. And Boeckman was in for how many plays? 5-6? You'd think that by the end of the first play, Zwick would have been found and Tressel could send him in.
I'm not going to read anything into it, though, and I think that Zwick will get more playing time than Boeckman will, against Illinois.

Here's the "half a hundy" game that everyone's been waiting for. 52-10.
