5/10/05 Dews claims no favorite but likes the following schools. Xavier, Dayton, West Virginia, Seton Hall, Miami (FL), Michigan, and Notre Dame. All the schools except Michigan and Notre Dame have offered to this point. There has been talk about Dews and Josh Chichester wanting to play together in college. Dews wants to make a decision before the July evaluation period and at the latest before his season starts. |

5/26/05 From the WVU site...the article talks about how WVU is recruiting Dews, Chichester, Mayo and Walker. Dews visited WVU on 5/13 and Seton Hall on 5/20. This weekend he is visiting Miami (FL). He plans to make a decision by the end of July. Not much here concerning OSU... |

Solid player, never a ton of mutual interest. Thought by many to be a sleeper.

Having a 6'2" gunner from Cincinnati (Robert Hite) talking to Dews about making the move down south probably helped the Hurricanes just a little bit. Hey, go make some noise down at "duh U." Miami is an ACC-school now, so it's a great move by Dews. They've got one of the top 10 players in the country coming in '07 to play point, Edwin Rios of Miami Senior.

Ohio State was never in consideration, partly because of other targets and partly because Dews is not the typical guard Matta is looking for at this point.

6/8/05 At the State AAU tourney this past weekend in Cincy......Dews missed a last second jump shot in All-Ohio Red's loss to Queen City Prophets, 79-78 in the 17-and-under state AAU tournament. |
