Gators football player charged with using dead girl's credit card -- -- OrlandoSentinel.com

GAINESVILLE - Florida safety Jamar Hornsby used a credit card
belonging to the father of a deceased former UF student more
than 70 times and charged more than $2,800 worth of merchandise
throughout the state, according to the Alachua County court records.

Hornsby, who has spent two seasons on UF's football team,
was arrested around 5:30 a.m. Friday at the Alachua County
Jail on charges of misdemeanor credit card theft and felony
fraudulent use of a credit card. He surrendered to authorities
at the jail and, according to the jail's on-line database,
remained in custody there until about 2 p.m. Friday,
when he was released on his own recognizance.

Disgusting, yes, but hilarious all at the same time. Especially when you realize that it's the credit-card issuer who pays the freight.

Nah. More like a certainty in the paste tense. Meyer dismissed him from the program. Took him almost a day, as he was out of town when it broke, but when he returned to G-ville that same afternoon he made a one sentence comment that Hornsby is no longer a part of the program.

If anyone else was involved, then they need to be gone too, even if it's Tebow and Harvin riding in his car knowing he was using the card to steal gas. Launch anyone who had a hand in this. The dead girl's boyfriend is still a player on the team, and Hornsby has more to fear from a butt whipping by teammates than he does the judge.
