4/12/05 Billy attended Pitt's junior day and cam away impressed. He now has offers from Louisville, Northwestern, and Syracuse. He is being recruited as an OL but has dropped his weight to 285 in hopes of getting more looks on the defensive side ofthe ball.

Man, Ohio is loaded at the OL position this season. Maybe thats why the staff wasnt too worried about only taking 2 OL last season - they knew the haul this season would be even better. I can see them taking 5 with one such as Nagy being able to play either side of the ball.
I liked him at DL as well, very explosive and low COG. |

I think Tilley and/or Ballard may get an offer before Nagy. Not saying I agree with that, but it seems to be the general consensus of the recruiting experts that Nagy is a little further down the list. I hope he has a strong showing at camp. I would like to see 2 out of Nagy, Ballard, and Palmer be offered.

Nagy has been offered by Syracuse. He had 78 pancake blocks a year ago. He has been to about 10 junior days. He does not list any specific leaders at this time.

5/10/05 Indiana, Syracuse, Louisville, Toledo, Northwestern, Akron, and Kentucky have offered Nagy at this point. Duke, North Carolina, and Clemson are contacting him at this time. He will be attending camp at OSU and Michigan, maybe Notre Dame and Penn State. Recently Coach Bollman was at his school. Last edited by osugrad21; 05-10-2005 at 07:22 AM. |

Nagy Making Camp Rounds </TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top bgColor=#ffffff> ![]() Bill Nagy </TD><TD noWrap width=3></TD><TD vAlign=top>By Duane Long Date: Jun 21, 2005 Hudson (Oh.) lineman Bill Nagy is in the middle of a camp tour that could bring him offers from the top programs in the region. Nagy spent time at Ohio State before heading off to the others on his list, and we caught up with his father to get some thoughts on how the camp went for Bill. </TD></TR><TR><TD colSpan=3> OL/DL Bill Nagy of Hudson, Ohio comes into the summer camp season as a prime candidate to see his offer list grow dramatically. Nagy's camp tour took a stop at Ohio State recently. "Bill was down for camp," Nagy's father said. "He had a terrific camp. "He had a really good time down there. He spent three days. He got to know people and is very comfortable." Players run 40's at Ohio State on a surface that has a reputation for being slow, but Nagy put up good times. "He ran under 5.1 on the turf surface that everyone said is slow," his father said. "He also ran a 5.05 on the second attempt." Nagy (6-5, 295) also put up an 8-1/2 inch broad jump and a 27-inch vertical leap. The Nagys will not know if an offer is coming until after OSU's Senior Advanced Camp sessions later this week. "There won't be any decisions made until after the camp this weekend," his father said. Nagy was heading up to Michigan camp for one day, then to Notre Dame Saturday, and Penn State Tuesday. "Then we're going to go up to Syracuse," Mr. Nagy added. "They've been recruiting him really hard." Nagy had 52 tackles and 8 TFL as a DT last year. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> |
