Neither Palmer nor Browning nor Jackson had very impressive SPARQ scores. Rivals does not list a score for Nagy. |

I dont see any of the OOS guys coming here: JB Walton [MD], Sam Young [FL] or Antonio Logan-El [MD], but I could be wrong. I havent seen an update on Young in months and we werent listed anyway. Walton seems enamoured with Tenn, the southern schools and I am not sure if his grades are right. Logan-El reopened his recuritment from Maryland but didnt list us. Who are the other 2 besides Nagy that the staff is looking at for the final 1 or 2 spots? I assume it to be Palmer and Browning but maybe they are waiting on a few surprises to perform well during the first part of the season before extending any further offers. With Smith and Brown [assumption], they can afford to wait. Most schools would be happy to have either one of them, let alone both. |

in his chat the other day Duane Long was very confident that Browning was going to get an offer. he said that he would offer all three (Browning, Nagy, and Palmer). he also said he's very confident that Aaron Brown comes aboard. he said he then thought that it would be Browning, Palmer, and Nagy in that order for offers. so maybe the four we take are Smith, Brown, Browning, and Palmer. i think Nagy's versatility would put him up there, but maybe what the coach told stow about being third on the waiting list was right... it would make sense with what Duane said.

I personally would offer all 3 because of Nagy's versatility to slide across to DT in a class that is weak at that position. Maybe they are waiting on word from some of the DT prospects to offer Nagy. Thats 5 OL assuming everyone commits with a chance for only 4 if Nagy ends up at DT. Thats a good number for this class. |

i say that because of the following: you are correct about osu's depth chart at DT over the next few years. osu took one DT last year, and 3 DE's. looking at osu's offer set thus far this year, osu has offered a handful of DT's (with no real strong chances at any as of now), and quite a few DE's again. osu is in good shape with rose and dublin. if they would both commit, that would equate to taking 5 DE's and one DT over the past two recruiting seasons, especially after only taking one DT in '04. That's why I think somebody is moving inside. But that scenario could also pave the way for Nagy getting a late DT offer. |

8/11/05 Nagy will visit Wisconsin on Dec 5 and Syracuse on Dec 12. He wants to take his five visits and then decide. The OSU staff has been staying in touch. Nagy grew up as a Ohio State fan. |

8/12 No rush: Hudson two-way tackle Billy Nagy has decided to wait until after the season to make his college choice. Nagy, 6-4, 298 pounds, said he will make official visits to Wisconsin and Syracuse in December, but still is interested in Louisville, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Vanderbilt, Boston College and Ohio State. - Tim Rogers

I still think Nagy is the next lineman to get offered. I know a lot of people like Browning and Palmer, but Nagy's versatility makes him such a Tressel-type recruit. Browning has to prove that he can get his weight down and keep it there, and Palmer needs to prove that he is quick enough to play anywhere on the line. Nagy could play guard, tackle or flip over to defensive tackle. That's why I think he gets the next offer...
