I am hearing they feel confident with Brown but they wont know for sure until at least after the Texas game and most likely later in Sept or early Oct after his other visits. I dont think they are waiting on him, maybe they are waiting on seeing the other guys early in the year.

Maybe Palmer and Browing? who else is left? I think they slim-to-no chance at the OOS guys at this point - Walton and the kid from GA. I think those are the only two that even listed tOSU.

I can see these OH OL waiting on an offer from tOSU for awhile as it sounds like they all really want to be Buckeyes. This reminds of what the FL schools do every year. Offer the big dogs first and wait them out, then come in a clean up in-state with the Tier2 guys who are dying for an offer.

the latest palmer update on rivals has bollman quoted as saying osu will take 3 maybe 4 OL this year. what that means for offers to in-state guys i'm not sure. if brown comes aboard osu has one guard and one tackle. my guess is there won't be any offers issued until brown commits.

I agree...Brown is the key right now. I think Nagy might be the first to see an offer after Brown decides, with Browning and Palmer not far behind. I think Nagy is physically the most ready to contribute. He is a bit bigger, stronger and faster than Palmer. And Browning is big and somewhat strong but he is going to have to shed a few pounds and improve his speed/quickness. Jackson is in the same boat.

Neither Palmer nor Browning nor Jackson had very impressive SPARQ scores. Rivals does not list a score for Nagy.

with the depth in this years class and the extra 3 schollies, I would think they would take 4.

I dont see any of the OOS guys coming here: JB Walton [MD], Sam Young [FL] or Antonio Logan-El [MD], but I could be wrong. I havent seen an update on Young in months and we werent listed anyway. Walton seems enamoured with Tenn, the southern schools and I am not sure if his grades are right. Logan-El reopened his recuritment from Maryland but didnt list us.

Who are the other 2 besides Nagy that the staff is looking at for the final 1 or 2 spots? I assume it to be Palmer and Browning but maybe they are waiting on a few surprises to perform well during the first part of the season before extending any further offers. With Smith and Brown [assumption], they can afford to wait. Most schools would be happy to have either one of them, let alone both.

in his chat the other day Duane Long was very confident that Browning was going to get an offer. he said that he would offer all three (Browning, Nagy, and Palmer). he also said he's very confident that Aaron Brown comes aboard. he said he then thought that it would be Browning, Palmer, and Nagy in that order for offers. so maybe the four we take are Smith, Brown, Browning, and Palmer. i think Nagy's versatility would put him up there, but maybe what the coach told stow about being third on the waiting list was right... it would make sense with what Duane said.

having seen video of all three, there is no way I would put Nagy third, and I was surprised to here Duane Long say that considering he had Palmer rated 14th in Ohio, Nagy 15th and Browning 30th. Rivals has Browning 15th, Nagy 27th Palmer 37th. I know ranking don't me squat but I think the Glenville bias is creeping into the situation a bit here. Obviously either Duane needs to go back to the Ohio High people and adjust his rankings or he rated Nagy based on the potential of OSU taking him as a DT. I think Nagy is the best of the three based on talent, size and versatility...

I agree with this statement today but its all about projecting to the next level. Maybe the staff feels that Nagy is near his peak in terms of ability and Palmer/Browning are well below. Palmer is the wildcard one, I think the reason he is at or near the top of the list for the next offer is because of his size and potential. 6-7" guys with a frame to add 30-40 lbs dont grow on trees. I agree his speed is suspect but when do these OL actually run 40 yards.

I personally would offer all 3 because of Nagy's versatility to slide across to DT in a class that is weak at that position. Maybe they are waiting on word from some of the DT prospects to offer Nagy. Thats 5 OL assuming everyone commits with a chance for only 4 if Nagy ends up at DT. Thats a good number for this class.
