You'll never see Josh line up at TE at Ohio State...mark it down. He just has too thin of a frame to bulk to a TE build. If he gets up to a solid 230-240 (which I think he will, easily), he'll be a killer WR...killer height, good strength, great hands, good ups for a tall guy, and with coaching from Coach Reynolds, good speed.

Chichester is an athletic WR who brought in tough catch after tough catch with pass interference all over the place. The most impressive thing to me was his ability to re-adjust to many poorly thrown balls (including a fade route where he jumped over the DB, reached over and down around the DB's stomach, and pulled the ball up and over him).
He doesn't strike you as a lanky, uncoordinated big man. He's no slasher, but he's got decent speed and has good body control.
Without retracing my math from earlier, it will take a 6'1" db with a 30 inch vertical to have a shot at stopping this kid on a jump ball... and that's not taking into consideration how he can use his body to box out the defender somewhat.

It would probably take more than a 30-inch vert from a 6'1" DB. Josh has 7" oe height already, which would equate to a 7"-8" arm reach advantage in addition to the 7" height difference. So, with both Josh and the DB standing flat-footed on the ground and their arms held straight up, Josh has a 14"-15" reach advantage. Isn't Josh's vertical around 30", too? Seems to me that the only DB around that could gets his hands up the same height as Josh would be Dustin Fox...

Hmm... I was tired yesterday let's check my math... (btw the reason the height is 3/4 is b/c I am measuring to his shoulder, and adding the length of an arm to that)
Highest Jump = (Height * 0.75) + (Wingspan / 2) + Vertical ...wingspan = height (for the sake of this argument, we'll use the Vitruvian model)
Chichester = 60 + 40 + 32 = 132 = 11 ft
6'1 DB = 55 + 36.5 + 30 = 122.5 = 10.1 ft
Dustin Fox = 52.5 + 35 + 42.5 = 130 = 10.8 ft
Yeah I was definitely wrong yesterday...
It will take a 6'1" DB with good hops ( 30" vertical) on a perfectly timed jump to come within a foot of the top of Chichester's hands.
WOW!

His latest numbers say, 6 ft 8, 215 lbs! He could get to 230 in his first year at the team table! I think he gets to 240 ish when he hits the field! As a WR, or they keep feeding him and he grows into a TE! Didn't Dudley play at 245?
