I think he either stays at WR or ends up as a kind of flex-type TE.
|
My hope is that he puts on about 20 pounds and stays at WR. I would hate to see his ability to cause match-up problems not be used at a hybrid TE/WR.
I would much rather see him line up on a 6' corner and go to work. Retaining his speed while putting on weight is the main concern.

I have seen Josh play many times, both on the basketball court and football field. I just don't see him adding enough weight to play TE. He has a very lanky, athletic build. I think he stays at WR and becomes a big-time redzone threat. He's a very athletic kid, and I think putting a lot of weight (He'd need at least 35 lbs to play TE, maybe more) would take away a lot of his athleticism.

Highlighted the key word in that one. I'll believe that one when I see it.

When I said this at the beginning I was generally not believed.

I dont understand everyone's obsession with "Red Zone threat WRs! They can outjump the DB with their 6'5" frame and get us 6!"
Wakeup call: When was the last time you saw JT call a jump ball in the redzone?

when was the last time we had a 6'8" receiver?
I personally am not worried either way, I think a certain someone named Chris Wells will have us covered in the red zone next year.
