Josh is waiting for an football offer from OSU, he could join the BB team at no cost so to speak for Matta. According to Josh, Matta has ensured him that he would be a "viable" part of the BB team if he comes to OSU on a football scholie.
Illinois, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Purdue, Pittsburgh are recruiting him the hardest. Josh has contact with OSU and they keep him updated on the situation. He has no favorite and says every school is equal at this point.
(The chances of Chichester ending up at OSU is clearly up to Tressel at this point, I believe he will possibly offer Josh a scholie at the OSU camp, this would be huge for the basketball program to get a player of his caliber and not use a BB scholie.)<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Chichester is ranked as the #13 prospect in Ohio for 2006. Uses his size to his advantage and needs to fill out and get stronger.

Josh playing in the Louisville Legends Classic on Saturday played very tough on the boards and kept his team in the game on put backs but, the Illinois Wolves defeated All-Ohio Red. He showed he can run the floor and is very athletic.

Considered one of the top targets for the Bearcats football class of 2006, Josh Chichester talks about his recruiting and where the Bearcats stand in the process.

From the Cincy site.....Josh is still wide open at this point and is trying to decide what school would be the best fit for him. Illinois and Notre Dame are two schools he is interested in, he says Cincy would be sixth on his list. No mention of Ohio State.

Josh Chichester of West Chester (Oh.) Lakota West has more than his share of college options for both football and basketball, and several schools want him for both. At the recent photo shoot for the Ohio High School Football Guide Tremendous 26 (http://www.hssp.cc), we caught up with Chichester for a couple interviews, one of them a Bucknuts TV interview. Click the link to check out both items.

Josh is weighing around 214 pounds. He has offers from North Carolina, Illinois, Purdue, Notre Dame just to name a few but he says he is waiting on Ohio State. He has not heard from Coach Matta lately. Josh is not sure what camps he will attend. He says he is leaning towards Illinois at this point but if OSU offered that could change.

Teammate of Josh's
I've played on the field with Josh since Freshman year...i was with him when he came in 8th grade and have loved playing next to this kid.
To say he's good is an understatement, i don't care what anybody says about Josh, during the 04-05 season he WAS our offense. We never used anybody but him, except when Dane tried to make things happen to break up the amazing plays by Josh.
He deserves OSU, he's always been better, none of you knew him like i did in freshman year and i can tell you this. He's back to playing the same competition...and you all will be in for a treat watching this kid demolish every single DB in the league.
Yes, EVERY DB
